Morfs is an alternative rock band from Uppsala, Sweden. Cascading guitars and powerful vocals are at the core of their music, with punchy riffs leading the way to melodic choruses. Their songwriting has many different influences. Most of the songs are a combined effort between lead guitar player, Peter Jarvis, and singer and rhythm guitar player Alexander Svensson. Peter draws inspiration from the indie rock scene and bands like Arctic Monkeys and Muse, while Alex brings punk-influenced, melodic vocals to the mix. Other influences are bands like, Rise Against, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rammstein.

 

The band started in early 2018, when Peter reached out to Alex and brought with him a number of demos and song ideas. Songwriting started to happen almost right away with Alex singing over the demos, adding his own thoughts and ideas. They were immediately happy with the result and started the search for additional bandmembers. They went through a number of different bass players before finally settling with Ludvig Snihs, who joined the band in march, 2020. Before that, drummer, Lex Roelofs, had joined the band in 2019. Heavy bass and sharp, groovy drums added new layers to the songs and completed the quartet.

 

With the aid of producer, Martin Antonsson, their first EP, Reminiscent, was released in September 2022.
